Not sure which Mac you have? Open the Apple menu → About This Mac. An Apple M1/M2/M3/M4 chip is the right one for this build. Intel Macs are not supported by this release.

This build is not yet notarized by Apple. The signing certificate is still under review, so macOS will refuse to open it until you clear the quarantine flag. Step 2 below does that. It is one command and takes a few seconds.

Installing

  1. Open the downloaded .dmg and drag ZhiYan Law into Applications.
  2. Open Terminal and run: xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/ZhiYan Law.app" Nothing is printed when it works.
  3. Launch ZhiYan Law from Applications and sign in with your email address. A code is sent to you — there is no password to remember.

Step 2 is needed because the app arrived over the internet rather than from the App Store. macOS 15 removed the old “right-click → Open” route, so the command is the only way until notarization is in place.

Verifying the download

Since the build is unsigned, this is how you confirm the file is the one we published. Run it against the downloaded .dmg — the output must match exactly.
